Police net P13.6-M shabu in Surigao City

CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police seized suspected shabu worth P13.6 million from three drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lipata, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte on Tuesday night, August 29.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft said two suspects were high-value individuals from Barangay Langkalaan, Dasmariñas City, Cavite; and the third was also an HVI from Barangay Maranding, Lala, Lanao del Norte.

Their identities were temporarily withheld pending arrest of their companions.

“Follow-up operations is still ongoing,” Kraft said.

Seized from them were two kilograms of shabu valued at P13.6 million, an electric weighing scale, and pickup truck.

“I commend our operatives for this substantial feat, so far the biggest drug haul during my stint,” Kraft said.

“Our strong stance against drug personalities continues and will score more victories through the help of all stakeholders in the process,” he said.

Suspects face drug-related charges.
