Over P2.7-M worth of shabu seized in Pasig, Marikina drug busts
More than P2.7 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate operations by the Pasig and Marikina City Police Stations (CPS), in collaboration with the Eastern Police District (EPD) on Monday, Aug. 28.
The suspect, identified by the EPD as "Jomar," 25, was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Pasig City.
During the operation, the police poseur buyer successfully purchased P101,000 worth of suspected shabu, which led to the arrest of the suspect.
Recovered from Jomar were 300 grams of shabu worth P2,040,000 and a motorcycle.
Meanwhile, three high-value individuals (HVIs) were arrested for illegal drug activities by the Marikina police.
The EPD identified the suspects as "Niño," 43; "Lala," 43; and "Albanie," 24.
Confiscated from the suspects were more or less P680,000 worth of alleged shabu, along with a cellphone, lighter, and P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
The suspects are detained at Pasig and Marikina's respective custodial facilities.
They are all facing charges for illegal sale and possession of drugs, or violations of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002.
