DOH commits to enhancing healthcare facilities in Eastern Visayas

Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Teodoro Herbosa visited the healthcare institutions in Eastern Visayas on Aug. 26-27, as part of the two-day “Bagong Pilipinas” (New Philippines) campaign in the region.

Herbosa led the DOH team as they checked on the new medical facilities and equipment at the Biliran Provincial Hospital (BPH).

The visit is in line with the agency’s eight-point Action Agenda.

“This campaign also allowed us to better coordinate with hospital staff and ensure that their facilities were not left behind,” Herbosa said.

He added that the visit will assist DOH in assessing and enhancing the services provided to the local communities. (Zekinah Elize Espina)
