In addition, 866 senior citizens under the A2 category were administered the vaccine while 21 under A3 (adults with comorbidities and pregnant women) received it.

Eligible people can get the third booster dose at least four months after getting their second booster shot.

On the other hand, Muntinlupa’s active Covid-19 cases totaled two as of July 31, an increase of one case from the July 24 tally.

Based on data from the City Health Office (CHO), the two active Covid-19 cases are registered in Barangays Tunasan and Cupang, while the remaining seven barangays have zero active cases.

From July 25 to 31, Muntinlupa recorded seven new Covid-19 cases from 47,289 to 47,296. Patients who recovered in the past week totaled six while no death was recorded. There are also zero probable and suspect cases in the city.

As President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. lifted the Covid-19 public health emergency last July 21, the Department of Health (DOH) recommended the wearing of face masks in crowded or poorly ventilated public spaces for the elderly, those with comorbidities, immunocompromised, pregnant, unvaccinated and symptomatic individuals.

Wearing of face masks in public transportation is no longer mandatory.
