LOOK: A powder compact that delivers a naturally blurring effect

Martine Cajucom, Georgina Wilson, Jess Wilson, and Bea Soriano share what they love about Sunnies Face' latest makeup product

“As someone who admittedly never wears or carries powder around, The Powder from Sunnies Face is such a game changer for my makeup life—and, hello, pore blurring control,” shares Martine Cajucom-Ho, co-founder of Sunnies Face.

Martine represents a percentage of the population who do not include powder compacts in their bags. But, even she, who admitted this on her Instagram post, shifted to the other side. “I love it on my skin as much as I love appreciating the smooth ‘blob-ject’ egg in the palm of my hand,” sharing photos of selfie tests as early as March of this year, even testing it last April when she went on a holiday trip to Egypt with her family, and 3D printed samples of the compact.
“But beyond being so damn cute, the formula is even more exceptional. Powder lovers and non-powder lovers, you will love The Powder,” she ends the post. Sunnies Face’ newest product, The Powder, is a matte setting powder that mattifies and blurs pores for a naturally filtered look. Sweat and humidity-resistant makes it suitable for us who live in a tropical country. Its key ingredients include sustainably sourced squalene that delivers a soft and velvety application, berry flux vita for extra skin hydration, bamboo sap that gives a mattifying effect, and micronized pigments that aid in blending and even coverage.

“I’ve never met a powder that I loved so we had to make the perfect one. Perfectly blurring, perfect retouch, perfectly mattifying, perfect to set. You’ll wonder how you ever lived without it,” affirms Co-founder Georgina Wilson-Burnand, as posted on her Instagram account. “This beauty is an all-day oil-control, blurring, lightweight and buildable powder that you’ll take with you everywhere. I’m obsessed,” chimes in another co-founder, Bea Soriano-Dee.

Six shades are available to choose from—Sesame (light with neutral undertones), Flax (light medium with warm undertones), Cassava (medium with warm undertones), Shroom (medium with neutral undertones), Almond (medium deep with warm undertones), and Cacao (deep with warm undertones). All made with clean formulation that’s non-comedogenic, vegan, fragrance-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free, DS-free that’s safe for sensitive skin. And can we just talk about the ergonomic shape of the compact? The pebble shape is inspired from objects found in nature and molded to slip into the palm of your hands. “All I've been doing is staring at The Powder with such a full heart of appreciation—appreciation for team sunnies for making this happen (anyone in the beauty industry knows how challenging a customized mold design can be,” says Martine. “The Powder represents teamwork from so many Sunnies departments and a strong united vision and commitment to making the best products with considered design at accessible prices. It's P595 and let me tell you now, this formula is easily a $60 one),” she adds.

Co-founder Jessica Wilson-Gasti adds, “ I couldn’t be more excited for you guys to all try it out.” \*For reference, Martine wears Flax with Almond sa bronzer, while Jessica wears Cassava. Visit their site for more details.
