Filipino-Chinese skin expert Olivia Quido-Co goes global as she becomes the President and CEO of the Miss Universe skincare and spa. "I am grateful to God for this opportunity to be global. If you want to be extra beautifully confident in every moment, this is for you, the Miss Universe skincare," said Olivia during a preview of the Miss Universe skincare line held at Astoria Plaza in Pasig City recently. Olivia previewed the nine products which will be used by the official candidates for the 2023 Miss Universe Competition which will be held in El Salvador on Nov. 18. Prior, these nine special products will be launched at a grand beauty convention in Turkey in September. Joining Olivia in this endeavor is her husband Jason Co who has been appointed Vice President of the Miss Universe skincare and spa.
Jason said that he was excited about the new partnership with the Miss Universe Organization. He will also become part of the judging panel of the 2023 Miss Universe Colombia beauty pageant. Asked about the reminders of Miss Universe President Anne Jakratutatip in formulating the products, Olivia said: "I like products that will make us beautiful forever or products that will make us young even if we are 75. That's what she always tells me. She allows me to formulate products." "I travel not because I want to see places but also to check out ingredients for my next products," added Olivia. The skin care expert also said that she is thrilled about the Miss Universe spa.
"I'm also excited for the spa which will have its first branch in Miami, Florida. And then we also have inquiries in other parts of the world. We also have two inquiries in the Philippines who are interested in the Miss Universe spa. The skincare line and spa are available for partnership and distributorship. Right now we are choosing the right partners, said Olivia, adding that she globally sourced the products," she said. Should there be a Miss Universe spa in the Philippines, Olivia said that winners of the Miss Universe pageant would be invited to endorse it. Olivia became part of the all-female judges in the 2022 iss Universe Competition in New Orleans, Louisiana last Jan. 14 (Jan. 15 in Manila) won by Filipino-American fashion designer R'Bonney Grabriel of the US. "I am grateful for that. As a judge, you have the power to change for the better one of the lives of these girls," she said.
Olivia said that she's been part of the MUO for four years now. She has devoted almost 20 years to making women feel and look beautiful. Armed with a deeply-rooted passion for skin aesthetics and nurturing instincts, her holistic approach to beauty and life, in general, has brought her success as a top-rated esthetician, entrepreneur, women’s advocate and Christian philanthropist. In 2009, Olivia signed with ABS-CBN International and The Filipino Channel (TFC) to star in her own TV beauty segment. Her show entitled, “Beauty by O,” is running in its 14th year and is rating fairly well.
