16 arrested for various offenses in series of anti-crime ops in Bulacan
Six drug peddlers, eight wanted persons, and two motorcycle robbers were arrested by the Bulacan police in anti-criminality operations conducted on Wednesday, August 2.
Based on the reports to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, two separate buy-bust operatios were conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Bustos, Guiguinto, and Marilao police stations, that led to the arrest of six drug suspects identified as Joseph Santos, Mark Anthony Pangindian, Rochell Landicho, Jimmy Cajipe, Joenel Arguesa, and Jonathan Dulay.
Seized during the operations were 10 plastic sachets of alleged shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) of P84,320; assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, eight wanted persons were arrested in different manhunt operations conducted by the tracker teams of the Bulakan, Malolos, Marilao, Obando, Meycauayan, and Pandi police stations. They were identified as Reynante Evite for the crime of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) in Brgy. San Jose, Bulakan; Elezar Carlos and Rodel Bañez, arrested for Qualified Theft in Brgy. Bulihan, Malolos, City; Ricardo Gutierrez arrested for Rape in Brgy. Sta. Rosa 1, Marilao. Also arrested were Leonora Babihis and Rosalina Primero for Violation of BP22 (Bouncing Check Law) in Brgy. Paliwas, Obandon; Eugenio Jaro arrested for Theft in Meycauayan, and Merwin Llanto arrested for RA 9003 otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, in Brgy. Mapulang Lupa, Pandi, Bulacan. They have been placed under the custody of the arresting units/stations. Meanwhile, in Brgy., Balatong B, Pulilan, the prompt action by Pulilan Police resulted in the successful recovery of a stolen motorcycle (Yamaha Nmax) and in the arrest of the suspects, identified as Ian Rodgers Sopeña, 36, and Roderick Banastao 47, both residents of Baliwag, Bulacan. Criminal complaints against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
