63-year-old woman hurt in QC fire


A 63-year-old woman was injured after a fire broke out in a two-storey residential-commercial building on Camarilla Street, Barangay San Roque, Quezon City on Wednesday night, Aug. 2.

The Quezon City Fire District (QCFD) identified the victim as Nenette Arellano who sustained contusion with laceration in her head during the incident.

The QCFD said the blaze was raised to the first alarm at around 8:53 p.m.

Firefighters were able to put the fire under control at about 9 p.m. It was extinguished at around 9:27 p.m.

Authorities said the fire left an estimated P22,500 damage to property and affected five families.

Arson probers are still investigating the cause of the fire which was reported to have originated from a room on the ground floor of the building
