ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth more than P1 million from five drug pushers in a buy-bust operation amid rainy weather in Baragay Boulevard, Molo District here on Monday night, August 28.
The Iloilo City Police-City Drug Enforcement Unit nabbed Al-June Manyalac Mateo, John Daanoy Rey Bataquin, Geo Espanyar Canlas, Glenn Paul Saul, and Isaias Caspe dela Cruz after they sold two sachets of shabu to an undercover policeman.
The ICPO-CDEU led by Police Capt. Roque Gimeno III was backed by the ICPO-Molo Police Station and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6.
A thorough search of the suspects resulted in the discovery of shabu valued at a total of P1 million.
Police tagged Mateo, Bataquin, and Espanyar as high-value drug suspects. Saul and Dela Cruz, on the hand, were listed as street-level drug pushers.
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 lauded ICPO for another successful anti-drug operation.
