First Lady Marcos, Mayor Along lead ‘Lab For All’ medical program in Caloocan


First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the “Lab For All” program in Caloocan City, which provided free and complete medical and laboratory services to over 5,000 residents on Tuesday, Aug. 29.

The “Lab For All” activity was conducted at the Caloocan City Sports Complex.

During the program the program, various free laboratory services such as complete blood count (CBC), fasting blood sugar (FBS), electrocardiogram (ECG), and x-ray were offered to the residents, in addition to a three-day medical mission held at various barangays, which started on Saturday, Aug. 25.

The beneficiaries also received grocery packs, P2,000 cash, medicines, meals, and training under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, the city government said.

Malapitan thanked the First Lady and President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos for initiating the program and the assistance it provided to city residents.

He likewise renewed his administration’s commitment to give priority to the health and safety programs to fulfill a larger promise of creating a better life for the residents.

“Kamakailan lamang po ay sunud-sunod ang mga programa at imprastrakturang sinimulan natin para tutukan ang kalusugan ng ating mga mamamayan. Lahat po ito ay upang maisakatuparan ang pagbuo ng isang magandang buhay para sa inyo, mga Batang Kankaloo (Recently, we have started a series of programs and infrastructure to focus on the health of our citizens. These are all meant to realize the development of a good life for you, Caloocan residents),” the local chief executive said.

The city government said that more events such as breastfeeding lecture, oral health checkup, and a nutrition and diet planning workshop are lined up under the Lab for All program for the city residents.
