CAMP NAKAR, Lucena City, Quezon – Police arrested a 37-year-old laborer for allegedly threatening a vendor with a replica gun in Barangay Mabini Ibaba, Macalelon, this province, on Monday afternoon, August 28.
Quezon police director Police Col. Ledon Monte identified the suspect as Jayson Bulfane, a resident of Barangay Lipuhan, Lopez, Quezon.
Investigation said the victim, Wilma Oximina, 29, a resident of Barangay Mabini Ibaba, was selling corn at the construction site of the new Macalelon Municipal Hall when she was invited by the suspect to have a drinking spree.
Oximina refused the invitation, irking the suspect who drew and pointed a replica gun tucked in his waist against the victim and threatened to kill her and her father.
She reported the incident to the police who arrested the suspect. Bulfane yielded a Glock 18 replica and three bullets.
Suspect is under the custody of the Macalelon police and faces cases of grave threat and violation of the election gun ban.
