CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft urged the people of Caraga to display the spirit of unity at all times to achieve lasting peace and prosperity.
“I encourage our police officers and men and the general public to display the same spirit of unity as one way of keeping the legacy of our forefathers whose sacrifices brought us to where we are today,” Kraft said in a message during the National Heroes’ Day celebration here on Monday, August 28.
“With the theme ‘Karangalan, Katungkulan, Kabayanihan,’ PRO-13 joins the whole nation in the celebration of National Heroes Day. Let us not only remember but also live up to the virtues and values shown by our national heroes,” he added.
Personnel assigned to the PRO-13 headquarters, provincial and city police offices, mobile forces, and municipal and city police stations also paid tribute to the bravery and gallantry of all Filipino heroes who fought hard for the country's freedom and independence.
“Our society, like any other, is a tapestry knit with threads of diversity. But regardless of our culture, belief, and background, we shall stand together to achieve lasting peace and prosperity,” Kraft said.
