Cong Cabredo shares sad story of young Jhanine, calls for justice

Albay 3rd district Rep Fernando "Didi" Cabredo wants justice for the brutal killing of a 14-year-old girl from Ligao City.

In a Facebook post Monday, Aug. 28, Cabredo shared the heart-wrenching case of Jhanine dela Torre, whose body was found riddled with stab wounds last Aug. 17.

The congressman said Dela Torre's family is still searching for answers as to the killing.

"Jhanine's family deserves justice, and we will not rest until her killer is brought to account," Cabredo wrote.

"Jhanine was a bright and promising young girl with a bright future ahead of her. She was a loving daughter, sister, and friend, and her death has left a devastating impact on her community," he said.

"We are calling on the authorities to do everything in their power to find Jhanine's killer and bring him to justice. We also urge the public to come forward with any information they may have about the crime," he added.

Cabredo's upload came with photos of his visit to the young girl's wake.
