BACOLOD CITY – The Bago City Hospital temporarily stopped accepting new patients since Monday, August 28, as flood water continues to rise and affected hospital premises.
As of 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, the hospital announced through their Facebook page that there is still no consultation and admission of patients due to flood.
They also stopped accepting patients for the outpatient department, emergency cases, X-ray, and laboratory.
Heavy rains from typhoon “Goring” and the enhanced southwest monsoon or “habagat” flooded parts of Bago City since Monday.
Some of the patients were transferred to the second floor as flood water reached the ground floor of the hospital.
Nurses reporting for work are being assisted through an improvised floating device to cross the flood and make it to the hospital.
The hospital has yet to announce the resumption of the patient admission and other services.
