Parañaque LGU gives land transfer titles to 24 beneficiaries

The Parañaque City government distributed Transfer Certificate of Titles (TCT) to 24 residents of Sampaguita Hills in Barangay Marcelo Green on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said the 24 families who were given the TCTs belong to the 269 family beneficiaries of the city government's program housing program.

Olivarez said the city government planned to buy the 1.8 hectare lot in Sampaguita Hills during the time of his father, Dr. Pablo Olivarez, who was then the city mayor and now barangay chairman of Barangay San Dionisio. 

He said the acquisition of the lot, amounting to P1.5-million or equivalent to P75.00 per square meter, was distributed to 269 families. 

The project was made possible during the time of his brother as city mayor, Representative Edwin Olivarez.

The mayor said the lot which was turned over to the beneficiaries will be paid at a lower cost and for long term.

At present, the mayor said a total of 144 beneficiaries have been given the TCT at Sampaguita Hills.

He said the Local Housing Development Office, in cooperation with the officers of Sampaguita Hills, are still working on processing the documents needed by the remaining beneficiaries.
