Lone bettor clinches P101-M Mega Lotto jackpot

A solo player won the elusive Mega Lotto jackpot worth a staggering P101 million during the evening draw on Monday, Aug. 28.

In the Winners Summary released by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), a lone bettor correctly guessed the winning digits for the Mega Lotto 6/45, which were 09 - 30 - 28 - 45 - 31 - 05.

The winner bagged a total jackpot prize of P101,344,365.20.

In the same draw, 78 bettors also won P32,000 each as the second prize for Mega Lotto 6/45.

In contrast, the Grand Lotto 6/55 yielded no winner for a jackpot prize of P90,060,945.20. The drawn numbers for this game were 41 - 17 - 07 - 51 - 39 - 46.

Although the top jackpot remained unclaimed, seven players emerged as winners of P100,000 each as the second prize for the Grand Lotto 6/45.

The PCSO has been constantly reminding winners that all prizes above P10,000.00 are subject to a 20 percent final tax under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law.

Likewise, the PCSO said that all winning tickets should be claimed within one year from the draw date. Otherwise, they will be forfeited to form part of the PCSO Charity Fund following Republic Act 1169, or the PCSO Charter.
