Police net P3.2-M shabu in Lucena

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized shabu worth P3.2 million in a buy-bust operation in Purok Ilang-Ilang I, Barangay Silangang Mayao, this city, on Saturday night, August 26.

The suspects were identified as Christian Enverga, alias “Mayor,” 43, a resident of Barangay Silangang Mayao, and Antonio Ruel San Vicente, 40, from Barangay Domoit, this city.

These two high-value individuals yielded 13 heat-sealed transparent sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 159.06 grams and a street value of P3,244,824.

Police Col. Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, lauded the arrest of the two suspects who had previous drug-related cases.

“This is a result of our intensified campaign against illegal drugs for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections so that we can make sure that the financial results of illegal drugs are not used to influence the voters and election results," said Monte.
