P5-M barangay hall inaugurated in La Carlota City

BACOLOD CITY – Local officials recently inaugurated the new barangay hall of Barangay Haguimit in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.

Barangay Captain Ephraim Quillas led the ribbon-cutting, along with Mayor Rex Jalando-on, witnessed by Councilors Baste Benedicto, January Abad, Stephen Simbit, Josefina Jalandoni, and Akoy Sia, and Carwater General Manager Homer Bermudo.

The office of Rep. Juliet Ferrer of the fourth district of the province allocated P5 million for the construction of the barangay hall.

Construction of the two-story building began on February 16.

The old barangay hall will be converted to a multi-functional space for the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) and senior citizens.
