Farmer shot dead in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon â€“ A 41-year-old farmer was shot dead by gunmen on board a motorcycle in Sitio Bacong, Barangay San Isidro, here, on Saturday afternoon, August 26.

Police identified the victim identified as Adelio Anas.

Investigation said Anas was tending to his cattle when a man wearing a white sweatshirt, maong pants, a red cap, and a white face mask and armed with a handgun appeared.

Anas ran away but the suspect chased him and without a word shot the victim several times in the body.

The victim died on the spot.

Suspect fled onboard a motorcycle driven by an accomplice wearing a blue cap, dark blue jacket, maong pants, and gray face mask and brought the murder weapon with him.

Investigators found a live caliber 9mm bullet in the crime scene.

Police are conducting a thorough investigation of the incident.
