Acorda lauds Mimaropa cops for aggressive, productive anti-crime drive
Police Gen. Benjamin Acorda, Jr., chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) has lauded the leadership of the Police Regional Office 4B for its aggressive campaign against criminal elements in the Mimaropa region.
The PRO4B covers the provinces of Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan, or Mimaropa.
In his speech during the 122nd Police Service Anniversary, Acorda said the police forces in the region were able to contribute a lot in keeping all the communities safe with its police operations and programs that include accounting of wanted persons and loose firearms, as well as its initiative to win back communist rebels and in helping the people in need in the region.
"As we celebrate the 122nd Police Service Anniversary here in Mimaropa, let us reaffirm our commitment to service and honor the memory of those who made the greatest sacrifice. Together let us march with determination knowing that our efforts today will shape the future of our nation," said Acorda.
"I would like to extend my appreciation to all the men and women of Police Regional Office Mimaropa, led by our Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Joel Doria. Together we have made immense contribution in our pursuit of a safer and more secure community. Let us continue to serve the people of MIMAROPA with a humble heart and great enthusiasm, and always keep one another safe and well," he added.
During the activity, Acorda also led the awarding of police personnel and units in the region for their exemplary and outstanding achievements in 2022.
Police Col. Samuel Delorino, director of the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, bagged the Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer award while Police Maj. Jeralyn Caluza was awarded Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration, and Police Lt. John Herman Lat as Best Junior Police Officer for Operations.
Police Chief Master Sgt. Maricelle T Salvado was awarded Best Senior Police Non-Commissined Officer in Administration while Police Staff Sgt. Mark Anthony S Naling for Best Junior PNCO in Administration.
Patrolman Kenneth Rae N Alvaro took the for Best Junior PNCO in Operations award while Non-Uniformed Personnel Christine M Custodio took home the for Best NUP (Non-Supervisory Level).
Unit awards were also given during the ceremony. Notable recipients include Occidental Mindoro PPO for Best Police Provincial Office, Sablayan MPS of Occidental Mindoro PPO for Best Municipal Police Station, Calapan CPS for Best City Police Station, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4B for Best Regional Mobile Force Battalion, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of Oriental Mindoro PPO for Best Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Training Center for Best Regional Administrative Support Unit, and Regional Forensic Unit (RFU) for Best Regional Operational Support Unit.
Several units received Special Unit Awards for their outstanding achievements in various campaigns:
- San Jose MMPS: Special Unit Award for the Campaign Against Illegal Drugs (MPS Level).
- Oriental Mindoro PPO: Highest accomplishments in the Campaign Against Drugs, Campaign Against High-Valued Individuals on Illegal Drug Personalities, and Campaign Against Illegal Gambling (PPO Level).
- Calapan CPS: Highest accomplishments in the Campaign Against Illegal Drugs and Campaign Against Illegal Gambling (CPS Level).
- Romblon PPO: Highest accomplishments in the Campaign Against Loose Firearms and Resolution of Cases (PPO Level).
- Gloria MPS: Highest achievement in the Campaign Against Loose Firearms (MPS Level).
- Occidental Mindoro PPO: Highest accomplishments in Environmental Laws and dismantling criminal gangs.
- 404th B Maneuver Company, RMFB 4B: Highest number of accounted firearms from CTGs.
- 405th B Maneuver Company, RMFB 4B: Highest number of accounted NPSR listed CTG members neutralized.
- 1st and 2nd Maneuver Companies, PMFC, Occidental Mindoro PPO: Highest number of accounted PSR listed CTG members neutralized.
- Marinduque PPO: Highest crime clearance and solution efficiencies.
- 10th Special Action Battalion, PNP SAF: Best Regional Support Unit for Internal Security Operations.
- Regional Intelligence Unit 4B: Best Regional Support Unit for Intelligence.
- Regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit: Best Regional Support Unit for Investigation.
- Police Retirement and Benefits Unit: Best Regional Support Unit for services to the PNP.
- Regional and Medical Dental Unit MIMAROPA: Best Regional Support Unit for services to PNP personnel.
- Regional Engineering Unit: Best Regional Support Unit for services to the PNP.
- Regional Internal Affairs Service MIMAROPA: Best Regional Support Unit for Internal Affairs Cleansing.
Additionally, the Department of Public Works and Highways, Mindoro Oriental District Engineering Office, received a Special Recognition Award for their continuous support in infrastructure projects.
Hon. Humerlito A. Dolor, Provincial Governor of Oriental Mindoro and Chairperson of the Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (RAGPTD), was recognized for his continuous support and contribution as a strategic partner of PRO MIMAROPA in achieving the PNP PATROL PLAN 2030.
