Virtual K-pop boy band Plave tops album chart in Korea
A virtual K-pop boy band launched in March topped the daily physical album chart in South Korea.
Plave, composed of Eunho, Noah, Bamby, Yejun and Hamin, debuted in March with the “Asterum.”

They made their comeback last Aug. 24 with the album “Asterum : The Shape of Things to Come.”
According to Korea’s Hanteo Chart, “Asterum : The Shape of Things to Come” topped the the daily physical album chart on Aug. 25 with 91,970 copies sold or an equivalent of 110,364 in physical record index score, which combines sales and the price of the album and is now used by the platform to rank albums. It sold 63,480 copies on the first day.
In two days since its release, the album has sold 155,450 copies.
This is higher than the sales of their debut album “Asterum,” which sold 27,940 copies in the first week of release.
Plave actively participate in TV music programs and even participated at the recent KCON LA. They will perform at the “Idol Radio Live in Seoul” concert on Sept. 23 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
They have attracted fans not only in South Korea but in other countries as well.
