A man suspected to be a member of a notorious criminal group was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition in Taguig on Aug. 25.
Taguig police identified the suspect as Emerson Pillos, 40, who was nabbed on Banana Street in Barangay New Lower Bicutan.

A tip to the police from the Barangay Information Network (BIN) stated that a man was brandishing a firearm.
Responding police caught Pillos in possession of a .22-caliber revolver with two pieces of ammunition.
During verification, Pillos failed to produce the necessary document for the firearm.
According to the police, Pillos is allegedly a member of the Kelly Calauad Dongalo robbery hold-up and carnapping group and was a previous member of the Muslimen Saban robbery hold-up group.
Pillos will undergo physical and medical examination at the Taguig Pateros District Hospital, and the confiscated firearm will be turned over to the Firearms Explosive Office of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Police are preparing to file a complaint against the suspect.
