Rape suspect arrested in Las Piñas

Members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and the Station Intelligence Section (SIS) of the Las Piñas Police arrested a man facing rape charges on Friday, Aug. 25.

Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, said the joint operation conducted by members of WSS and SIS led to the arrest of Sairel Lamido, 23.

Santos said Lamido, who was listed as the top four wanted person in the city, was arrested at around 7:00 p.m. at the vicinity of Manggahan, BF Resort Village, Baranngay, Talon Dos, Las Piñas.

He said the suspect had a standing warrant of arrest issued by Judge Victor Ramirez Aguba of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 225 on January 10, 2023.

The city police chief said Lamido was immediately detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
