P136,000 shabu seized from vendor

BACOLOD CITY – A vendor was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Bangga Bato, Matagoy, Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Friday, August 25.

Police seized 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P136,000 from Benny Pepito, 39, of Barangay Rizal.

Police Lt. Col. Mark Anthony Darroca, Silay police chief, said the suspect was also arrested for drug pushing in 2017.

He was released from jail in April last year after he had served his sentence, according to Darroca.

Also recovered from him were the P2,800 marked money and two improvised tooters.

Darroca said they subjected the suspect to a but-bust operation after receiving information from a concerned citizen about his rampant distribution of illegal drugs.

Drug charges are being readied against the suspect.
