Fish vendor nabbed in Bacolod drug sting

BACOLOD CITY – A fish vendor was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Estefania here on Friday, August 25.

Police identified the suspect as Mayo Panganiban, 59, of Barangay Estefania.

Police Capt. Francis Depasucat, head of Police Station 4, said Panganiban is a street-level and newly-identified individual.

Panganiban yielded 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000.

Depasucat said they subjected the suspect to a one-month surveillance after they received information about his illegal drug activities.

He said that drug charges will be filed against the suspect on Tuesday, August 29.
