A number of local personalities, celebrities and officials were spotted inside the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan to watch and support the game between Gilas Pilipinas and the Dominican Republic on Friday, Aug. 25.

Gilas Pilipinas guard Dwight Ramos received extra support during the game as his girlfriend, volleyball star Kianna Dy, was spotted in the crowd inside the venue.

Dy shared a selfie on her Instagram story while wearing a ‘Pilipinas’ jersey shirt. 

Among the notable stars present during the opening ceremony of FIBA World Cup were celebrities Maja Salvador and her husband Rambo Nuñez, comedian Jose Manalo, and AC Bonifacio.

Miss Universe 2018 and FIBA World Cup local ambassador Catriona Gray, together with fiancé Sam Milby, also showed their support. 

Meanwhile, former volleyball player and now TV host Gretchen Ho shared a story of the crowd on her Instagram. 

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr, together with Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos were also in attendance during the game. 

The Philippines has set the record for most attended FIBA game with 38,115 fans attending the match.
