Woman nabbed for P609,000 'inside job' robbery in Valenzuela
A woman was nabbed by members of the Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) after she allegedly stole P609,000 cash from the soap company she was working for in Barangay Mapulang Lupa, in the city on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
Col. Salvador Destura, VCPS chief, identified the suspect as Shiela Galido, 29, secretary and a "stay-in" employee of the soap company on Pabaya Street.
Police said on Thursday, Aug. 24, Galido reported to her colleagues, who are all "stay-in" employees in their office, that she heard a rustling sound in the area when she woke up at around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The suspect, along with another company’s secretary, Lovely Dalut, 29, sought help from barangay officials when they found out the the company’s sales income went missing.
The VCPS Substation-8, Station Investigation Unit (SIU), and Detective Management Unit (DMU) responded and conducted an investigation.
Lt. Ronald Bautista, DMU chief, said they noticed that the top part of the jalousie windows was dislodged, a sign that the perpetrator was inside the building.
“Kung nasa labas po kasi ang tumungkab, dapat po ay ‘yung ilalim ng jalousie ang matutungkab (If the perpetrator was outside the office, it should be the bottom part of the windows that should have been destroyed),” Lt. Bautista said.
He added that they did not see any person enter the building when they reviewed the closed circuit television (CCTV ) footage in the area, thus making the crime n "inside job."
Bautista said they noticed that Galido was restless during the investigation.
Police said the suspect later admitted that she was the one who took the money. She also revealed that she hid the money in the company’s stock room.
Authorities went to the stock room and recovered the P609,000 cash placed inside a yellow sack.
Galido was immediately arrested and charged with qualified theft, police said.
