Parañaque LGU distributes livelihood assistance to fire victims
The Parañaque City government distributed livelihood grants to 123 families who were victims of a fire incident last year.
Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution at a covered court in Barangay Don Bosco on Thursday, Aug. 24.

Olivarez said the financial grants ranged from P9,000 to P15,000 cash.
He said the amount given to the beneficiaries was based on the damages to their properties and effect on the families by the fire.
The mayor added that the financial grant will be used by the beneficiaries to start their own business.
Olivarez said the beneficiaries were a family from Barangay La Huerta, 17 from Barangay Merville, 49 from Barangay San Dionisio, and 56 from Barangay Don Bosco.
The additional financial assistance given to 123 families was made possible through the help of Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Department.
