SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The provincial government of La Union is preparing for the possible effects of tropical cyclone “Goring.”
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted a virtual pre-disaster risk assessment meeting with disaster-related provincial government offices and agencies on Friday, August 25.
The provincial government is preparing assets and capabilities for deployment and stockpiling food and non-food items.
Local government units are also preparing manpower, rescue vehicles, and equipment for Goring.
La Union Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David ordered provincial government offices in charge of response and relief operations to be prepared for the tropical cyclone.
She encouraged her constituents to safeguard each other amid Goring.
