Intramuros Administration, Rotary Club launch bazaar project 'Bentemuros'

The Intramuros Administration and the Rotary Club of Intramuros launched the "Bentemuros" project at Casa Manila in Intramuros on Friday, Aug. 25.
"Bentemuros" is a three-day bazaar project where people can donate for as low as P20 to raise funds for the preservation and rehabilitation of heritage sites and facilities, lighting, and cleaning equipment in Intramuros.

Around 20 small local business owners joined the first day of the bazaar held at Fort Santiago in Intramuros from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The bazaar strives to promote and support tourism in the walled city by offering shopping experiences to foreign and local visitors.
"It is also a way of raising public awareness by tapping their interest and engaging people to once again care for Intramuros," the Tourism Promotions Division of Intramuros, Diego Gabriel Torres said.
The bazaar also features several food stalls and souvenir stores selling handmade products such as bags from Negros Occidental, sandals and clothes from Baguio, paper mache arts, and more.
The bazaar is open to the public for free until Monday, Aug. 28.
The Rotary Club of Intramuros is an organization that is known for organizing various community projects, fundraising events, and initiatives to support education, health, and other social issues.
