Three drug suspects in possession of P748,000 worth of shabu were arrested by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) during a buy-bust operation on Friday, Aug. 25, in Parañaque City.
According to Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano, the suspects were identified as Arnulfo Apinado, 39; Johnny Zuasola, 52; and Noel Cabeiliza, 26.
The SPD said the suspects were arrested at around 2:30 a.m. in Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City.
Reports stated that the suspects were the subject of complaints from their community, prompting the members of the Parañaque Police SDEU to conduct the operation.
Police recovered 110 grams of shabu worth P748,000, P1,000 buy-bust money, and another P1,000 cash.
The SPD chief said the arrested suspects were immediately detained at the Parañaque police custodial facility and were charged for illegal possession of drugs.
Mariano said that since he assumed the post of district director, the operation conducted by the Parañaque police was considered as the station's biggest operation as of yet.
He also said the SPD’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs will continue and focus more on the drug supply side to stop the illegal substances being peddled on the street.
