Marcos, Sr. birthday on Sept 11; non-working holiday in Ilocos Norte declared
Malacañang has declared September 11 as a special non-working day in the province of Ilocos Norte.

Through Proclamation No. 327, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. made the declaration to mark the 106th birth anniversary of late former president Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.
The declaration was made to allow the province to celebrate the birth anniversary of the late Marcos Sr.
"It is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Ilocos Norte be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration," the proclamation read.
It was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin with the authority of the President on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
Last year, the President and his family, including his mother, former first lady Imelda Marcos, offered a mass for his father at his grave at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City.
He also declared Sept. 12 last year as a special (non-working) day in the province of Ilocos Norte to mark the 105th birth anniversary of the late President through Proclamation No. 53, series 2022.
