P18.3-M cocaine found in Filipina passenger's luggage at NAIA
An inbound Filipina traveler from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia was intercepted by authorities after suspected cocaine worth P18.3 million was discovered in her luggage upon inspection at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Thursday, August 24.

The passenger was identified as Zenaida Losloso, 49, a native of Lucena City, Quezon.
Operatives from the Bureau of Customs and NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) flagged Losloso after the suspected illegal drug was found at the false button of her check-in luggage when she arrived at NAIA Terminal 3.
According to Customs Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence Group Juvimax Uy, Losloso arrived onboard Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 644.
Upon arrival, her luggage was subjected to an x-ray scanning where screeners found one plastic sachet containing the suspected cocaine weighing 3,454 grams concealed in it.

“The alerted x-ray screener tagged ‘X’ a baggage with suspicious images of concealed illegal drugs. Upon physical examination, it was found to have concealment of illegal drugs at its lining which as per initial test [turned out] to be cocaine,” Uy said.
Authorities estimated the seized drugs to be worth P18,306,200.00.
The suspect and all the pieces of evidence were turned-over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for filing of appropriate cases.
