NBI bags P1-M shabu in Baguio buy-bust

BAGUIO CITY – The National Bureau of Investigation arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized shabu worth more than P1 million in a buy-bust operation here on Wednesday, August 23.

The NBI identified the suspect as Yasser Rangaig Pangadapon, 20, a resident of Barangay San Roque, this city, and listed as a high-value individual.

NBI agent Nielbert Pisec said they were supposed to conduct a buy-bust operation against a certain Hassanal Diampuan Kiram on Asin Road but Pangadon arrived and transacted with the poseur-buyer.

Pangadapon yielded white substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 150 grams worth P1,020,000, P240,000 buy-bust money, and a motorcycle.

The NBI said they started to monitor the suspect last February and a series of test buys were made to convince him to give a substantial amount for the next purchase.

Suspect faces drug-related cases.
