Motorcycle rider injured in road mishap in Sta. Cruz, Manila

A motorcycle rider was injured after being hit by a Ford Everest in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Thursday, Aug. 24.
The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the motorcycle rider as Bonifacio Bañaga.
According to the initial report, the two vehicles were heading toward a crossing lane.
When they reached Tecson Street corner Leonor Rivera Street, the vehicles crashed into each other.
Police said the drivers were not able to apply the brakes.
Due to the strong impact, the rider fell from his motorcycle. He was immediately brought to the hospital to treat his injuries.
The rescue crews said the victim's left leg and right shoulder sustained fractures. He also had bruises on the his hands.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
