Military asset gunned down

BACOLOD CITY – The Leonardo Panaligan Command-New People's Army (LPC-NPA) has claimed the death of a civilian who was identified as a military asset in Barangay Aya, La Libertad, Negros Oriental on August 21.

Police identified the victim as Julibe Sanoy, who was shot by unidentified armed men at his residence.

In a statement dated August 22, JB Regalado, LPC-NPA spokesperson, said that Sanoy was tasked to organize a group of force multipliers to aid the police and the Army in the fight against insurgency.

Regalado said the victim has been warned last year but continued his actions against the people and the revolutionary movement.

He said that Sanoy’s death was according to the decision of their court.
