Mental, child protection forum a success – Mayor Honey

The Manila local government announced the success of the Mental Health and Child Protection seminars held at the San Andres Sports Complex, Malate, Manila from Aug. 18 to 24.

Mayor Honey Lacuna said the series of seminars was led by Councilor Lei Lacuna, the head of Liga ng mga Barangay.

Two representatives from each barangay in the city attended the forum under the theme "Kapakanan at Kaligtasan ng Kabataan Prayoridad ng Barangayan." 

The representatives from the 897 barangays in Manila are expected to cascade the information they learned to their fellow workers and residents in their respective barangays.

Lacuna-Pangan stressed that barangay leaders should know how to handle issues that affect children, especially those who are in conflict with the law.
