Man wanted for rape arrested in Las Piñas

A 63-year-old man wanted for rape was arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) of Las Piñas City Police on Thursday, Aug. 24.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect was identified as Mario Francisco, tagged as the top one most wanted person in the city.

City Police Chief Col. Jaime Santos said the suspect was arrested at around 11:30 a.m. on Villamor St. in Soldiers Hills 2, Almanza Uno, Las Piñas City.

He said Francisco was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Elizabeth Yu Guray of the Las Piñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 202 on July 21, 2023.

The suspect was immediately detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
