DICT on eVisa: A 'clear message' recognizing benefits of technology for efficient, quality public service
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) underscored the importance of utilizing digital technology to deliver efficient and quality service to the public.

"The eVisa is our clear message to the world that we recognize the benefits of digital technology for efficient and quality public service," DICT Undersecretary David L. Almirol Jr. said on Thursday, Aug. 24, in the Philippine e-Visa Soft Launch at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DOF) Mall of Asia Office in Pasay City.
Almirol also said the e-Visa initiative is a way to embrace modern travel realities and would help transform the Philippines into a "top-of-mind destination for business and leisure."

This "game-changing" system, he said, was developed through the strong collaboration of the DICT with the DOF, the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
"We thank you deeply for this opportunity to collaborate with the DICT to develop innovative programs and projects for the benefit of our stakeholders," he added. (Sonny Daanoy)
