CAMP Aquino, Tarlac City – The 18th Pacific Partnership, a critical endeavor to strengthen international cooperation in disaster response led by the Armed Forces of the Philippines-Northern Luzon Command with the United States Pacific Fleet, local government units and agencies, and non-government organizations, is underway in San Fernando City, La Union.
A series of humanitarian-civic action activities from August 22 to 31 will be conducted to bolster the nation's capability to mitigate the effects of various all-hazard events.
HCA activities have a wide range of collaborative efforts and initiatives, with primary focus on community engagement, capacity-building, and disaster preparedness to improve the local community's resilience and ability to respond effectively in times of calamity.
“The Nolcom will work in close coordination with our US counterpart and the local government unit of San Fernando City, La Union, to ensure the smooth execution of the largest annual humanitarian assistance and disaster relief exercise,” Lt. Gen. Fernyl G. Buca, Nolcom chief, said.
