Parañaque Mayor Eric gives cash aid to 1,030 fire victims
Parañaque Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution of financial assistance to 1,030 beneficiaries of the city government’s social amelioration program on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.

Olivarez said the beneficiaries of the amelioration program were families affected by a fire incident that occurred in the city.
He said 17 families from A. Bonifacio St in Barangay La Huerta were given financial assistance; 49 from A. Bonifacio St. in Barangay San Dionisio; 41 in Area I, Sitio Libjo in Barangay Sto. Nino; five from De Guzman/Regadado St. in Barangay Don Galo; one each from Dulo Barcelona in Barangay Merville; and Fatima in Barangay Don Bosco.
The mayor said the other 669 families were from Hontiveros compound in Barangay San Antonio; 166 from MCM compound in Barangay Don Bosco; 65 from Quirino Avenue in Barangay Don Galo; and six from Sta. Maria St., Sitio Libjo in Barangay Sto. Nino.
Olivarez said the amount of financial assistance distributed to the victims were dependent on the cost of damages to their properties.
He said the social amelioration program is one of the programs of the city government in response to fire incidents.
The city government also distributed relief packs, blankets, mat, and construction materials to the fire victims.
