Parañaque LGU to pay PhilHealth contribution of job order employees
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez announced that the city government will shoulder the payment of the Philhealth contribution of job order employees in the city.
Olivarez made the announcement during an orientation for the PhilHealth benefits program conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.
He said a total of 260 job order employees attended the program – 160 from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) and 100 from other departments in the city government.
The mayor explained that unlike permanent and casual employees, the contributions of job order employees to PhilHealth were being deducted from their salaries.
Olivarez said their contributions to Philhealth will be paid by the city government from January to December 2023.
He also shared the importance of being a PhilHealth member and paying their contribution to help them access affordable medical services.
The mayor also thanked the Local Health Insurance Office under Francis Edwin Marasigan and the Parañaque Health Plan Office under Dr. Ma. Loreleigh Obed, who made the program possible.
