Parañaque LGU orients 1,500 'cash for work' program beneficiaries
The Parañaque city government conducted an orientation for 1,500 beneficiaries of the "Cash for Work" program at Valley 5 in Barangay San Antonio and Barangay Sto. Niño covered court on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

Mayor Eric Olivarez, who led the orientation, said the "Cash for Work" program is a project of the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWD), in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR).
Of the 1,500 beneficiaries, 860 are residents from District 2 and 640 from District 1.
Olivarez said the beneficiaries will be given the chance to work for 10 days as street sweepers while the others will be assigned to clean creeks, esteros and canals in the city.
The beneficiaries will receive P570 per day, equivalent to P5,700 for 10 days.
Olivarez said the program aims to help citizens in the priority sectors by giving them temporary employment.
