P40.6-M shabu, marijuana seized

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Shabu and marijuana worth P40.6 million were confiscated and 17 drug personalities, including 11 high-value individuals, were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations in the Cordillera region from August 13 to 19.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera  reported that 21 clandestine marijuana plantations bearing 163, 425 fully grown plants, 650  seedlings, 50, 000 dried  leaves and fruiting tops, and 15, 000 stalks with an overall standard drug price of P40,511,000 were uprooted and burned in Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

The 17 arrested drug personalities yielded 10.69 grams of shabu worth P135,728.

The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) nabbed eight suspects, followed by the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) with four, Abra PPO and Benguet PPO with two each, and Mountain Province PPO with one.
