‘Eat Bulaga’ No. 1 in ratings in PHINTAM, RTAM areas


“Eat Bulaga” emerged as the No. 1 noontime show in the ratings in the Philippine National TV Audience Measurement (PHINTAM) and Rural TV Audience Measurement (RTAM). 

Data from AGB Nielsen Media Research Philippines showed that on Aug. 21, “Eat Bulaga,” which airs on GMA Network, got a PHINTAM rating of 3.97 percent compared to 3.91 percent for Tito and Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon’s “E.A.T.” on TV5 and 3.09 percent for “It’s Showtime” on GTV and A2Z.

In RTAM on Aug. 21, “Eat Bulaga” rated 4.11 percent compared to 2.24 percent for “E.A.T.” and 2.89 percent for “It’s Showtime.”

In the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) on Aug. 21, “Eat Bulaga” got a rating of 3.88 percent, compared to 5.06 percent for “E.A.T.” and 3.23 percent for “It’s Showtime.” 

Among show segments, “G sa Gedli” on “Eat Bulaga” got the highest rating of 4.96 percent in RTAM on Aug. 21. 

On “E.A.T.,” the highest-rating segment on Aug. 21 was “Sugod Bahay Mga Kapatid” with 2.49 percent in RTAM. 

On “It’s Showtime,” its highest-rating segment on Aug. 21 was “Mini Ms. U” with 3.15 percent in RTAM. 

"Masaya kami. Although ratings is important but tape is really is thinking how to make the show better unmindful of the ratings. Iniisip lang namin lagi paano kaya mas magiging masaya at mas maraming matutulungan ang show. We are very [glad] to know that a lot of people are happy with 'EB,'" said lawyer Maggie Abraham-Garduque on behalf of the Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE), the producer of "Eat Bulaga."
