“This is to respectfully inform the public that the Diocese of Kidapawan Facebook page has been hacked,” Bagaforo, who is also the president of the Caritas Philippines, said.

He urged the public not to interact with the hacked account and to refrain from commenting on or sharing any of its posts.

Bagaforo also advised the diocese's Facebook followers to unfollow the hacked account immediately.

The unidentified hackers also targeted the bishop’s personal Facebook account.

He reminded the public to transact directly with the diocese's chancery office rather than the hacked Facebook pages.

Bagaforo requested government assistance in investigating the hacking incident, warning that if the problem is not addressed quickly, the hacking could "worsen." (Rhowen Del Rosario)
