'We love you': Sandro says goodbye to DMW chief Ople

With these five words, House Senior Deputy Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos said goodbye to Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Susan "Toots" Ople.

The presidential son's message took the form of a Facebook story.

News of Ople's passing was first reported Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 22, triggering a deluge of messages of mourning from the congressmen, even during their plenary session. Ople was 61.

The DMW is the newest agency in the country's bureaucracy, having been established only last Feb. 3 2022.
