BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-four earthquake jolted Davao Oriental province on Tuesday morning, August 22.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake was registered at 6:02 a.m. and its epicenter was 14 kilometers northeast of Baganga town, Davao Oriental.
The tectonic tremor had a depth of 26 kms, Phivolcs said.
Phivolcs does not anticipate any damage or injuries.
The Office of Civil Defense in Southern Mindanao and Davao Oriental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported no damage or injury from the earthquake.
