Lucena City declares drag artist Pura Luka Vega persona non grata

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The city council passed a resolution declaring drag artist Pura Luka Vega, whose real name is Amadeus Fernando Pagente, a persona non grata here over his recent “Ama Namin” or Lord’s Prayer performance.

The resolution was authored by city councilor Benito Brizuela Jr. and was introduced during a regular session on Tuesday, August 22.

"Disrespectful, blasphemous, and shouldn’t be done by anyone regardless of what religion they might be talking about," Brizuela said.

Aside from this city, Pagente has been declared unwanted person in Laguna, Bukidnon, General Santos City, Floridablanca, Pampanga, Toboso, Negros Occidental, and Manila.
