Kapuso actor Jak Roberto seems to be taking his job as a "professor" of love advice seriously after conducting an "anti-silos" class at the Jose Rizal University (JRU) in Mandaluyong City last Aug. 19.
In a video uploaded by Sparkle GMA Artist Center, a legal management student from JRU asked Jak, "Ano pong masasabi niyo sa mga nagseselos ng walang karapatan?”
(What can you say to those people who are jealous even if they don't have the right to do so)
The crowd gave their loudest cheers as Jak prepared to answer the question of the unnamed student.
"Baka kailangan na ng label niyan (Maybe your relationship needs a label)," Jak said in response to his question before grooving to his signature dance of Mariah Carey's song "My All."
The "Anti-Silos" videos have gained attention from various social media platforms, which allowed the netizens to make another meme where the actor is portrayed as a professor at Jak Roberto University (JRU). "Silos" is a colloquial term for "selos," or jealousy.
Jak, 29, is currently in a relationship with fellow actor Barbie Forteza, who is partnered with David Licauco in the "Maria Clara at Ibarra" series. David and Barbie are set to appear together in the series "Maging Sino Ka Man."
Barbie pointed out in a separate interview last January that despite being the center of attention for memes, Jak has been a supportive partner while working with David.
"It usually comes from Jak na, ‘If kailangan niyong mag-post, if kailangan niyo mag-promote, go,’ kasi nakita niya ang lakas talaga ng FiLay (Fidel and Clay) and super support siya. Kaibigan niya rin talaga si David kasi, so full support," Barbie said. Fidel and Clay are the characters of David Licauco and Barbie Forteza respectively in the popular Kapiso series "Maria Clara at Ibarra."
(Usually, Jak would say, ‘If you need to post or if you need to promote, go,’ because he sees how popular the FiLay love team is. He’s very supportive of us, especially since he’s friends with David in real life.)
